When should we arrive?

Answer

We will be having a casual, optional welcome party the evening of Wednesday, December 30th. Formal wedding events will begin on Thursday, December 31st, in the early evening.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel room block reserved at Hilton Garden Inn New Braunfels (1501 IH-35 N, New Braunfels, TX, 78130). Please see the travel page for more information. There are also a number of adorable homes for rent in the New Braunfels area if that is more your style.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Due to the spread-out nature of Texas, if you plan to explore extensively, you may want to consider renting a car for personal transport. Please see our Travel & Lodging page for more information about rideshares and public transportation options. If you are not comfortable driving in a city, you may want to Uber/Lyft from the airport and pick up a rental car in New Braunfels. Driving on I-35 between San Antonio and Austin is not for the faint of heart.

Yes-- we think your little gremlins are cute.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. We are fancy and sophisticated.

Will the wedding ceremony be inside or outside?

Answer

If the temperature is above 50 degrees, we will be having our wedding ceremony outside. If it is colder than 50 degrees, we will move the ceremony inside so our Texas guests do not freeze.

How should we get to the wedding?

Answer

Ubers and Lyfts are widely available in New Braunfels. We will have one shuttle leaving from the venue to the Hilton Garden Inn between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM for our guests who would like to go to bed early. If you do choose to drive to the wedding, the wedding party humbly requests that you plan ahead responsibly and designate a sober driver to get you home safely. If you drive to the wedding and overindulge, you can leave your car parked at the venue overnight, but it must be picked up before 11:00 AM the next day (or else!).

What if I want to party all night?

Answer

Good for you! We admire your energy. There are a number of bars in downtown New Braunfels along San Antonio St. where you can party your heart out.
