Picnic Welcome Dinner

Beach / active wear: Flip flops, sunglasses, swimsuits, Hawaiian shirts, shorts.
In classic San Diego fashion, we will be welcoming you to the city with an informal taco picnic dinner at the beach. There will be some volleyball, frisbee, and beach games. We also recommend that you rent kayaks snorkels, stand up paddle boards or surf boards from https://www.everydaycalifornia.com/pages/adventure. If you would like to participate in beach activities, we suggest you bring / wear clothes that you can get wet or run in. Parking is available along La Jolla Shores.

Morning Excursion

This hike is recommended ONLY for people staying in the Julian area, since we can't provide showers for people. If you will be staying in San Diego, you may consider doing a hike in Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve or Mission Trails Regional Park. The Volcan Mountain trail is a 4.9 mile intermediate hike with 1,227 ft of elevation change with great views of Julian. Julian Project host, and outdoor educator, Gregg Parker, will be our local guide for the hike
Reception Cocktails & Dinner

Wear long or short semi-formal attire in light earth tones (olive, tan, peach, yellow, sea green, lilac etc.). Lighter hue dress shirts, khaki slacks or floral patterns are welcome as well!
We value the opportunity to have our family and good friends together to celebrate our marriage. We desire for this event to be a space for connection and festivity. Along these lines, we ask that you join us in making this a no-phone reception. We will have a professional photographer present to capture the event. Please remember to bring your leaf!
Bonfire After Party

For those who would like to linger into the later hours of the night, we plan to have a bonfire with games and music on the Villa Manzanita property.
