Groom
Born and raised (mostly) in South Dakota, Anders is the oldest of four Barton boys and son to Joe and Amanda. Known for being laid back, inclusive, and content to let life's big questions remain a mystery, he’s always up for a deep chat or a casual round of golf. He recently co-founded TEMPL—a faith-based supplement company—with his dad and brothers. Whether he’s pretending to be a health guru or justifying his golf score, Anders is most at home when surrounded by people he loves.
Bride
Born and raised in Ecuador, Denni is the youngest of the Alcivar clan and daughter to Carlos and Marianita. The powerhouse of her family, she’s the business-savvy go-getter, always chasing goals, finding time for fun, hitting the gym, and grabbing her signature iced caramel High Rise with extra caramel and light ice. By day, she helps Fortune 500s transform their digital worlds, but her real joy is serving the Lord and being surrounded by the people she loves, a slice of tres leches cake and her two beloved wiener dogs.
Best Man
Even though he’s his younger brother, Sed has become a man of God that Anders looks up to, both metaphorically and literally. From a plaque hanging in the house growing up that read, “my brother, my best friend,” now to “my brother, my best man.” Sed and his wife Emily, are new parents to their baby B.O.B., and (not new) dog-parents to Bubba. Sed works alongside Anders in their family business, TEMPL, just one of many ventures they've shared—others include golf games, Vikings fandom, and a mutual love for Jesus.
Maid of Honor
Denni’s big sister and forever north star. Growing up, Maria Fernanda was the Barbie doctor, the bed-maker, the cook, and the fun one who somehow made chores feel like play. She's still that kind of person, thoughtful, joyful, and quietly holding everything together, just now with two restaurants in Guayaquil and a husband and a son by her side. She’s always been the calm in Denni’s storm, the steady in every season, and the kind of big sister who makes life feel safe, beautiful, and full of laughter.
Officiant
Gordon is Anders’ best friend, mentor, and the man trusted to make it all official. Introduced by Anders’ dad during a tough season, Gordon became a constant avenue of encouragement and God’s love. He lives in Sioux Falls with his wife Ellen and their five kids. When not officiating weddings or discussing life’s biggest mysteries over one of Ellen’s homemade meals, he and Anders are likely on the couch playing Switch golf or obsessing over Gordon and Ellen’s newest procreation, baby Oasis.
Bridesmaid
Ingrid has been in Denni’s life for as long as she can remember, but their story goes even further back: Denni’s mom used to nanny Ingrid’s mom when she was a baby. Their families go way back, and so does the love. Ingrid is creative, kind, and always full of light. She runs a tufting business in Ecuador and somehow still makes time for long phone calls that stretch past two hours like no time passed at all. Whether they’re laughing, catching up, or just being there for each other, Denni has always known she could count on Ingrid. She’s the kind of friend who brings comfort without trying, joy without effort, and presence that feels like home.
Groomsman
Third in the Barton lineup, Carson took his fair share of childhood torment from Anders (ask him about “typewriter”). Thankfully, they’ve since made amends and now bond over golf, Fortnite, jet skiing—and fitness. Carson has crafted more workout plans for Anders than Anders has actually completed. He lives in Scottsdale, AZ while his fiancé Ana finishes her schooling at Grand Canyon University, and is an integral part of the TEMPL team.
Bridesmaid
Majo and Denni became sisters somewhere between late-night study sessions and laughing until it hurt at high school sleepovers. What started as a classmate friendship quickly turned into a bond full of girl talk, shared playlists, and getting ready for every party like it was a red carpet. In history class, Denni would be reading a chapter out loud while Majo purposely made funny faces from across the room to make her laugh, sometimes getting them both in trouble but always making things more fun. She’s smart, adventurous, and fearless, always chasing her next dream and maybe her next flight too. But no matter how far she goes, her friendship has always stayed close.
Groomsman
Youngest of the Barton brothers is Isaiah (Zay). He and Anders both took part in theater, though Anders career had an abrupt halt in middle school while Zay continued his stardom throughout high school. This fall, he’s headed to Grand Canyon University. Though they didn’t grow up close, Anders and Zay now bond over Catan, pickleball, and the occasional game of volleyball.
Bridesmaid
Denni met Ellen earlier this year, and in such a short time, she’s become someone truly special. From the beginning, Ellen showed up with encouragement, warmth, and the kind of quiet strength that brings peace just by being around her. She’s been a constant cheerleader for Denni and Anders, always offering a kind word, a prayer, or simply her presence. A proud mom of five, Ellen somehow balances it all with grace. She’s someone you can have deep, honest conversations with, about faith, life, or anything in between, and always walk away feeling a little lighter, a little stronger. Her bold love for God, her wisdom, and the calm joy she brings into every room have made a big impact on Denni’s heart. This friendship may be new, but it’s already something Denni treasures deeply.
Groomsman
Spencer and Anders met through a church small group and haven’t looked back. Whether it's bible study, golf, deep convos, grabbing a drink, or board games, Spencer is always down. He’s a school teacher by day and farm hand by night. He lives near Sioux Falls with his wife Julia and their new baby. Spencer swears he was predestined to be in this wedding. Anders hasn’t argued.
Bridesmaid
Sammy and Denni’s friendship started years before she became Mathias’s mom, back when they were just teenagers. Over the years, their bond grew strong and steady, built on honesty, laughter, and real love. When Sammy became family through Mathias, that connection only deepened. She’s the person Denni turns to for honest conversations, comfort, and support through life’s ups and downs. Sammy’s heart gives freely and fiercely, and her loyalty has been a constant through the hardest and most beautiful seasons.
Groomsman
Isaiah is the newest friend in the lineup, but he and Anders built a bond quickly through the art of talking trash on each other’s golf game. They also both love Jesus. They met through the young adult ministry Isaiah helps lead in Sioux Falls. He lives there with his wife Jocelyn and their dog Carlton.
Bridesman
Andrew is Denni’s part brother, part best friend, and all-around MVP. They met in high school, ended up at the same college in the United States, and went from roommates to lifelong ride-or-die crew. Their friendship was forged through some seriously tough times as international students—navigating new cultures, challenges, and all the ups and downs together. Those struggles didn’t break them; they made them family. When he’s not crafting killer emails as a copywriter, Andrew’s dreaming of a house so big it could be a foster doggie palace. He’s the guy who’ll always have your back, keep you laughing with his dry wit, and turn any rough day into something better. More than a friend, he’s a brother by choice, and Denni wouldn’t be who she is without him.
Groomsman
Christian and Anders go all the way back to middle school. They’ve shared countless Oreo-fueled Catan marathons, simultaneous shoulder dislocations, and philosophical debates over who has the better chronic condition (alopecia vs. diabetes: still inconclusive). Christian is marrying his fiancé Hannah in Italy this coming spring. Anders isn't totally sure what Christian is currently doing for work, but whatever it is, he’s doing great.
Bridesman
Aron is Denni’s big brother and longtime partner in crime. From secret McDonald’s playground missions to making up countless new games together, they turned every moment into an adventure. Dad’s favorite trick was carrying them around like “mops” while they clung to his legs for dear life or the tickle mission where both Denni and Aron would cover themselves in as many comforters and sheets as they could, but still ended up captured by the tickle monster. They may have fought like crazy as kids, but through it all, their love and friendship only grew deeper, a bond that’s unbreakable and full of joy.
Dama de amor
Elsa is Denni’s godmother, mentor, and fitness buddy extraordinaire. They met shaking it off in a Zumba class and instantly clicked. Elsa’s wisdom, kindness, and fierce love have been a guiding light for Denni, with a sprinkle of dance-floor magic to keep life fun. She’s the kind of friend who lifts you up and never lets you forget your worth.
Master of Ceremonies
The iconic duo. Nataly and Genesis were the stars of every school show, and now they’re lighting up the wedding. Nataly shares Denni’s love for God and those deep, faith-filled late-night convos that go until the clock says stop. She also has that voice—the one that made entire rooms fall silent in rehearsals, parties, or anywhere she opened her mouth to sing. Genesis brings the party energy, the laughter, and all the backflips (yes, literal backflips). She also brings all the confidence and boss-girl drive that makes her magnetic. She is fun, fearless, and fully in charge. They’ve each played a huge role in Denni’s story, and now they’re running the show (literally).
