Officiant
YES!! My sister will be the person who will "officiate" the ceremony. She is confident, graceful and poised. This is definitely a job she is capable of doing! My sister Mary Ann has always been a supportive role model in my life as long as I can remember. We built great memories together becoming closer as we both became mothers. She always has good advice for my children and I, being a terrific Aunty. They love their Aunt Mimi as she is lovingly referred. We try to communicate daily. If we go a day or two without speaking, one of us calls to say this.."Hey, just calling to say hello and I love you." I'm so happy my sister will be at the front blessing this ceremony for Michael and I. She is beautiful, well spoken and hilarious!! She is loved by all who meet her.
Father of the Groom
Patrick Potter is the Father of the Groom. Pat Potter is a manly man and I see exactly where Michael inherits his good looks and manly ways. Pat is an avid hunter, gardener and true outdoors man. He taught Michael the skills of hunting, fishing, gardening and being able to work with his hands. Michael learned from his father how to get things done and "fix" things around the house. Pat is from Kentucky and raised his family here in Newport News, Virginia. Pat is soft spoken, kind and sweet. He is a true Southern Gentlemen. Pat and Francis have been married for 55 years, celebrating their anniversary in December 2018. I feel very lucky to have Pat as my Father in Law. He is funny, and the most gentle man you will ever meet.
Mother of the Groom
Francis Potter is the Mother of the Groom. Francis is also a very soft spoken, beautiful and kind woman. Having these two as parents, no wonder Michael has these beautiful attributes and grew up feeling secure. Francis is a wonderful mother to Michael. She is supportive and has always been there for her son and for her daughters as well. Francis is also an amazing gardener, and true outdoors woman like her husband. She grows some of the best tomatoes around here along with a variety of vegetables. She also has an amazing quilt collection she made all by herself. Francis and Pat have been married 55 years and is the backbone to the Potter family. I am so grateful she is my Mother in Law, she and Pat have always been accepting, warm and loving towards me. I always appreciate her wisdom.
Maid of Honor
Jen and I have been friends for a few years. She is a former colonel in the Army and Airborne = Bad Ass Chica !! Currently, she is attending law school at Regent University in Virginia Beach on her way to her 3rd career. I chose Jen because she is a compassionate friend, kind and loving. When you meet her, you will see her good qualities. She is a very beautiful strong woman. Packed into a tiny 5'2 frame is this Wonder Woman who is always so much fun to be around. I'm pretty certain this woman can do anything. She is also known as "Jazzy Jen" she will break bad on some Journey and 80's music. She will definitely get the party started and by now will have her first year of law school completed. This is also another reason to celebrate on this fine day!!
Best Man
We love our Best Man Luke. There wasn't anyone that could fill this shoe except Luke Potter. He's been Michael's best friend for 7 years. He has stuck with Michael through the ups and downs, thick and thin. They have a great time together. I fell in love with Luke when I first met him. As I told Michael, I loved Luke first before I fell in love with Michael. One night I had a bender and freaked out. Luke was there to console my feelings and made me feel better. Luke and I have a bond, but not the way Michael and him bond together. Luke is never jealous when I come around, in fact, he's so open and welcome's me with loving arms. We love Luke and can't wait for him to be a part of our special day.
Bridesmaid
My beautiful daughter Eryn will make an entrance. She is graceful, glowing and always smiling. She is strong willed and a beautiful young lady. We are so happy Eryn will be a part of our day. Eryn is attending Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She will have completed her first semester as a Freshmen. She is majoring in business and her minor is dance and choreography. She is lovingly referred to as "Bo Bo" by her family members and siblings. We aren't sure how she will respond if guest call her Bo Bo...she will probably laugh. She has a good sense of humor and not at all soft spoken. She's a spicy girl that can dance a good salsa.
Bridesmaid
Emily Bemily Boo is what she is lovingly referred to by her closest family and friends. Emily is a graceful dancer and straight A student from the time she entered 1st grade. She is hard working at whatever she does. Emily is the youngest of 5 children. She is loved and adored by her sister and big brothers. We all appreciate Emily's sense of humor. Michael finds her amusing and loves to spoil her and my children. She is gentle and sweet to her fur babies, and a loving daughter to Michael and I. We love having her over on the weekends. We like how Emily is quick witted and extremely intuitive. She often can tell what you are thinking reading your body language. I know she will make a beautiful Bridesmaid and we are so blessed to have her on board. We wouldn't want it any other way.
Usher
My oldest son Brandon will be ushering guest to their seats. Brandon is my first born of five children. He is currently working as a pipefitter at Newport News Shipbuilding. We are so proud of Brandon. Before having an apprenticeship at the shipyards, he worked in the food and restaurant industry when he turned 16 years old. He stayed at his job for many years. He is a dedicated and hard worker. No matter what, Brandon is always there for his siblings. They adore their big brother. He has good advice and he can be hard on his brothers and sisters, keeping them in check. That is what big brothers do. He is a loving son, so thoughtful, kind and compassionate towards all.
Usher
Duane Dzubilo is second of my children of five. He will be ushering guest to their seats. Duane is a seasoned traveler at the age of 22. He loves being overseas in Europe. His first experience was in 2016 when he accepted an internship to Budapest for his Global Affairs major. He fell in love with Budapest. While he was there he learned how to travel within the countries of Europe, realizing he had easy access to different countries through rail or flight. We really can't keep up with him. One email said he was staying a day in Lisbon, then onto Portugal. The next thing we knew he was in Zagreb, darted over to Germany, Scotland, and finally making his way and settling in to Budapest for the next two months. Overall, we are happy he is experiencing life on his terms.
Usher
Gary John my youngest son will be ushering guest to their seats. Gary John is the youngest of the boys. He is quite the character. He has a love for bodybuilding and knowledgeable about what sort of supplements you need to take in order to have your body at it's optimal health. He loves to play his guitar and sing. This one is artistic in the truest sense. He was in theater and acting, plays guitar, writes songs and lives life freely. He applied to the University of Hawaii Manoa to finish his Bachelor's Degree. He has a great sense of style. His fantastic features make him seem like a real life model. Gary John's personality is like a magnet, and he has many friends. We are so proud to have Gary John as part of our day.
