Tower Tavern
Kicking this list off with a few spots very close to our ceremony, if you prefer to spend the time before the reception exploring! This bar is in an area called Martini Corner, which has a handful of bars to grab a bite or a beer before we continue the party!
Good Karma Coffee and Wine
If you need a coffee post-ceremony, this coffee shop is quite close to the church as well! (And they serve wine too)

National WWI Museum and Memorial
One of the most famous landmarks in Kansas City with a gorgeous lawn viewing the downtown skyline, and a huge memorial statue. Perfect for a stroll on a nice day.
Loose Park
The City Market
On the weekends, the City Market runs a daily farmer's market, alongside local restaurants, shops, and specialty grocers.
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Another famous Kansas City landmark, including the shuttlecock sculptures on the front lawn. The Nelson is free, and houses a huge collection including an outdoor sculpture garden and gorgeous land to wander!
Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art
American Jazz Museum
Kansas City recently made the whole 18th and Vine promenade completely pedestrian, making it a lovely place to walk around. The jazz museum and Negro Leagues baseball museum anchor this stretch of KC, and are such fun peeks into history not necessarily associated with the city though they are critical to the story and legacy of Kansas City!
Green Lady Lounge
Famed jazz bar in Kansas City for a groovy drink! There is often a $10 cover, but live music every single day, and two floors to vibe in. Pop next door to the Black Dolphin as well.

Very very cool art gallery in the 18th and Vine district that is open to the public, located in a historic school building.
Kaleidoscope
If you are bringing a child to visit KC, this indoor arts center cannot be recommended enough. The site of many Kansas City kids' favorite and most memorable field trips, plus it's part of Crown Center, another fun shopping center in KC

Made in KC Marketplace - Plaza
One of Kansas City's main exports is souvenirs. Stop by this place on the Country Club Plaza to find tons of locally owned vendors, selling everything from t-shirts to artwork to specialty chocolates
Westside Storey
Another excellent place to buy Kansas City souvenirs, in the heart of Ana's favorite neighborhood in the city, the historic Westside.
Gates Bar-B-Q
The best BBQ in the city according to Ana and her family, but we'll list a couple other options below.
Joe's KC BBQ
Famed for serving barbeque out of a gas station, Joe's is a must-see attraction (and has great food!)
Arthur Bryant's Barbeque
The other long-time BBQ place in Kansas City. Most people will have a strong preference between here and Gates for their favorite/the best.
Rudy's Tenampa Taqueria
Kansas City has a vibrant Mexican-American community, and a ton of Mexican restaurants! This is one of Ana's favorites, but please reach out if you want more recommendations. We simply couldn't list them all.

Train. Themed. Restaurant. Where all the food is delivered to your table by a model train. Another childhood favorite, but delightful for all ages, as proven by Louis's experience eating here the first time he visited KC.
Crown Center
The Roasterie Factory Cafe
Kansas City's locally run coffee company, which functions as a coffee shop but also offers very inexpensive tours of their brewing process! Louis once attended one by himself when Ana was stuck on a work call and still had fun and lots of tasty coffee.
Boulevard Brewing Company
KC's local beer brewery, offering tours with tastings, or just a fun place to hang and grab a few beers.
J. Rieger & Co.
A local distillery offering great cocktails as well as tastings/tours.
Rock Island Bridge
A recently-opened shopping and entertainment district on a bridge over the Missouri River!
Kansas City Stadium
Self explanatory. You can tour the Royals Stadium or the football stadium regularly! Super Bowl 2027, here we come!
