Ana met Nathalie in 1997 at Coral Reef Sr High School in Miami, FL. Their mutual sensibility lead them both to transfer to their local high school, Sunset Sr High, where they enjoyed a more well-rounded high school experience. But their bond really grew when Nat moved to NYC after college. Ana and Nat share a love for tequila, delicious food, and brutal honesty. After more than two decades and an embarrassing number of ill advised fashion choices and life experiences, they are inseparable. Nat now lives in Miami with her husband, Ted, daughter, Lidia, and stepchildren; Audrey, Leia, Miles, and Pace. She runs a resilient design firm where her mission is to create sustainable housing for the urban tropics.
Michael "Gupper" Scharville
Best Man
Gupper and JP have been friends since they were 11 years old growing up in North Carolina. JP joined the travel soccer team Gup played on and they have been friends ever since. From travel soccer tournament trips in 'the van', summer parties in high school where only 5 or 6 people were meant to come over (thanks Mrs. P!), going to college together where they were able to extend their 'soccer careers' a few years longer, to now navigating family life; it's been a great first half of the trip. From kids to adults Gup has been by JP's side throughout it all and JP's looking forward to what the next half of the trip holds in their friendship. Gup is married to his wife, Abby, and they have 2 beautiful kids, Theo & Penelope.
Ali McLeod
Bridesmaid
Ali and Ana met in 2004 in NYC when they both transferred to the same university, Parsons School of Design. While they didn’t exactly become fast friends, fate stepped in with a mutual friend that had them spend some quality time together. They realized how amazing the other is and have since become life long friends. After graduating, they navigated the photo industry together (and still do!) all while remaining close and experiencing life as it comes. Ali is an avid snowboarder, a passionate boss lady, dog mom to the funniest pups we know, Truck Stop & Roscoe, loving wife to Jesse Denes and loves a killer manicure.
Peter Lebiecz
Best Man
Peter is JP's younger brother and let's be honest, the cooler one between the two of the them. He's got a quiet personality but one that comes with quick whit and humor. Pete was the first one in the family to pick up soccer so JP can thank him for the introduction to a sport that would go on to give him so much. They continue to bond over their love of the game and the up's & down's (more down's recently) of their shared team, Arsenal. Pete lives in North Carolina where he's currently working and saving for the next chapter in his life. JP looks forward to continuing to watch Pete grow into his own and help support him along the way.
Maritza Montilla

Maritza is Ana's oldest New York friend. They met in 2004, during Ana's 1st month in NYC, while both attending college and working retail at an American Eagle Outfitters. From working over night shifts doing inventory to going out to parties and girls night outs, Maritza's native NYC insight and support helped shape Ana's experience and growth while navigating early years in New York. In the years since, Maritza has earned a Masters in Education, has been a Principal at an all girls school in Liberia, is currently devoted to teaching Literature at the high school level and enjoys traveling around the world, super hero movies and loves football.
Kevin Miklavcic

JP and Kevin first met during one of those small summer high school parties at Gupper's house (thanks again, Mrs. P!). A few years down the road, another party brought JP and Kevin back together where Kevin was looking to make the move to NY shortly after JP had and they discussed what NY living was like. Fast forward a couple of months, JP and Kevin both found themselves living in Astoria. Having only known a handful of people in NY before moving, JP is extremely grateful to have had a friend like Kevin to share in that experience and become one of his closest friends in the 5 years that followed. Kevin also has the distinguished title of Matchmaker as it was his connection that brought Ana and JP together.

Kevin is a NY native that has recently opted for a warmer California lifestyle with his fiancé Danielle and we don't blame them. Kevin was one of the first friends JP made in NY having met through his wonderful fiancé who was one of JP's first roommates in Astoria. From day 1 he was welcoming and always made JP feel included. Throughout their time together there's been too many concerts, music festivals, bday/July 4th pool parties, Rockville Centre Irish Days, dinners, days of just hanging, Astoria gyros - you name it - to count and JP appreciates each one as it has made his NY experience one he would not trade for anything.
