How We Met

It almost feels like it was written long before we ever lived it. Ana grew up in Brazil, surrounded by warmth, color, and a faith that quietly shaped her heart. Mitch was raised between the steady rhythms of the Midwest, born near Chicago and formed in Wisconsin, where loyalty, simplicity, and quiet strength became part of who he was. Two completely different words, two completely different stories moving forward without knowing they were slowly pointing towards each other. Then came 2016. Not with fireworks or grand announcements, just two separate decisions that didn't seems connected at the time. Ana packed her life and courage into a new beginning in Tampa. Mitch did the same, leaving behind what was familar, stepping into something unknown. Neither of them knew that the same city would soon hold both of their stories. For years they lived in the same city, passing through the same streets, sharing the same spaces, completely unaware of how close their lives already were. Tampa became the meeting ground of two lives God had been preparing all along. And then, in 2023, in the most unexpected and simple way...everything changed. Two dogs crossed paths. What started as a simple moment - leashes tangling, tails wagging a little bark, a quick laugh between strangers, became the beginning of something neither of them saw coming. It was easy, natural...like their lives had quietly moving along, just waiting for the right moment to meet. And suddenly, the differences didn't feel like distances, they felt like purpose. Brazil met the Midwest. Warmth met steadiness. What once seemed like separate journeys began to make sense together. Two people, from different corners of the world, arriving in the same city at the same time, not by accident, but by design. And somehow, even their dogs had a part to play in it, bringing them together in the most simple, unexpected, and perfect way. Every steps before Tampa mattered. Every move, every goodbye, every unknown moment was quietly leading them toward each other. And when they finally met, it wasn't just the beginning of something new. It was the unfolding of something that had been written all along.
