What will the weather be like?

Answer

Guatemala in March tends to be warm during the day and cool at night. With temperatures typically fluctuating between a warm 82°F (28°C) during the day and a refreshing 60°F (15°C) at night. However, like most places, weather in Guatemala can be unpredictable so please remember to check the weather forecast for the day.

Where should I park?

Answer

The Porta Hotel Antigua, which is where the reception will be held and is across the street from the ceremony location, offers two parking locations. Please note unless you are a guest, event parking has a cost of Q70 for 6 hours. The first location, which is located closer to the hotel, is located at 4ta final Antigua, 4 Avenida Norte, Antigua Guatemala. The second location, which is further and offers a shuttle back to the hotel, is called Parqueo La Estación de Antigua at Poniente 14, Antigua Guatemala 03001, Guatemala.

Will the ceremony be indoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held indoors, inside the Ruin San Jose el Viejo.

Will the reception be indoors?

Answer

The reception will be held indoors, inside the Porta Hotel's Salon Landivar. Please note cocktail hour will be held in the patio in front of the salon.

How far is the reception from the ceremony?

Answer

The reception's location is a 5 minute walk from the ceremony's location (San Jose el Viejo). The reception will be held in the Hotel Porta's Salon Landivar, which is located across the street from the Hotel's main entrance.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Please refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony, however, you are greatly encouraged to take as many pictures and videos as you'd like during the reception. Thank you!

What type of currency is accepted in Guatemala?

Answer

The Guatemalan currency is Quetzales. Some places tend to accept dollars, however, please note they will not be accepted if they have any rips or stains, as the banks will not accept them. Most places, aside from street vendors, do accept accept debit or credit cards. The most accepted cards are Mastercard and Visa. American Express is not accepted in most businesses.

Please keep in mind Antigua’s streets are made out of cobble stones. For your comfort, stiletto heels are not recommended.

El Porta hotel Antigua está situado a cruzar la calle de la ceremonia. El hotel ofrece parqueo a huéspedes. Por favor tomen en cuenta, si no se hospeda en el hotel, hay un costo de Q70 por 6 horas. El primer parqueo, que queda mas cerca del hotel, esta en la 4ta final Antigua, 4ta avenida Norte, Antigua Guatemala. La segunda opción, que está más retirada del hotel, se llama Parqueo la Estación de Antigua en Poniente 14, Antigua Guatemala 03001, Guatemala y ofrece un servicio de bus que regresa al hotel.

La recepción va ser bajo techo, en el Porta hotel - Salón Landivar. Por favor tomen en cuenta que la hora de cocktail va a ser en el patio en frente del salón.

¿Que lejos esta la recepción de la ceremonia?

Answer

El salon de la recepción queda a solo 5 minutos caminado de la ceremonia. Tomen en cuenta que el salon se encuentra en frente, al cruzar la calle, de la entrada principal del hotel.

¿Está bien tomar fotografías con nuestros teléfonos y cámaras durante la boda?

Answer

Por favor traten de no tomar fotos y video durante la ceremonia. Pero por supuesto, pueden tomar todas las fotos y videos que quieran durante la recepción. ¡Gracias!

¿Qué tipo de moneda se acepta en Guatemala?

Answer

La moneda Guatemalteca es el Quetzal. Algunos lugares aceptan dólares, pero, tengan en cuenta que no se aceptarán si tienen imperfecciones como rasgaduras o manchas. La mayoría de locales también aceptan tarjetas de débito o crédito, Mastercard y Visa son las más común. No todos los lugares aceptan American Express.

Tengan en cuenta que las calles de Antigua están hechas de adoquines. Para su comodidad, no se recomiendan usar tacones delgados.
