It was just a matter of swiping right 😉 It all began with a conversation on a dating app🐝, Ana fell for all my cheesy jokes so I had to ask for her number. From then on we texted everyday. Although we texted so frequently, our schedules never aligned and we actually didnt meet in person until 3 months later! Our first date and first time meeting was over dinner at Alamo Café. Our dinner date went quite well, the conversation flowed and I was charmed with her accent (which she’ll swear she doesn’t have). The date went great, which led to our next date then to the next and before I knew it I was head over heels for this girl. We went from hanging out every now and then to being together every weekend, and the rest led us to where we are today. Engaged!

Austin was traveling with my family and I to Mazatlan for the first time. I was so excited for Austin to get to know the area and meet all of my family from there. During this trip my mom planned a photo session with all the tios, tias, and cousins, this was a typical thing my mom would do, so I never once suspected anything! As we get to “El Medio Corazon” the pictures start with everyone altogether, then one of my aunt’s family, then another’s, then it’s my family’s turn. First take, just us, next take add in the boyfriend and best friend. Then things got weird, my mom was moving me one way as Austin tugged me to move another way. I remember him pulling my arm saying “Ana, Ana come here”, he never calls me by my name so as I turned to look at him I knew what was happening and all that came out of my mouth was ”Noo, noo, Austin? Noo”. He got down on one knee and proposed! Of course I said YES!! To this day I don’t know how he pulled it off without me knowing, but it was one of the most magical and happiest days of our lives. We’re excited for this next journey we will embark together and can’t wait to celebrate with you all! So get your passports ready, pack your bags, and see you in Mazatlan! 🤍✈️
