Amy was visiting her grandparents in Arizona when her dinner plans fell through at the last minute. Not knowing many people in the area, she went on the Bumble app looking for somebody to share the evening with. There, she found Sean. She was intrigued by his profile and knew he was interested because he had super swiped her. Their conversation was real and deep and stimulating and it turned out they lived only a few miles apart so Sean suggested they meet in the middle at Jade Bar at Sanctuary, which unbeknownst to him is one of Amy’s favorite spots in the valley. They spent the whole night engaged deep in conversation, eventually shutting the bar down. Their connection was undeniable so Sean invited Amy to a Food and Wine event a week later. Amy was supposed to return to Denver but extended her stay to attend the event with him. In turn, Sean rearranged his schedule to spend every possible minute with Amy during the week she was in town. They spent hours talking and laughing and building a very solid foundation for their relationship. It was shocking how well aligned their values and interests were. At the end of that nearly perfect week, Sean wanted a relationship with Amy, but being newly single, she wasn’t interested in anything serious. They parted ways knowing that Amy would be back again three weeks later with some girlfriends. While apart, Sean pursued Amy daily, growing more confident that this relationship was different. Amy felt herself falling but tested Sean’s devotion to keep some distance. When Amy finally returned to AZ with her girls, she asked Sean to pick up some items and come meet her friends. Confident Sean arrived, groceries in hand, and quickly won all of the girls over... except for stubborn Amy. Her friends intervened and convinced her that Sean was too good to let get away. They couldn’t have been more right! When Amy finally opened up her heart to Sean, she was swept away. He was everything she never knew she needed and so much more.

When you know what you want, you make it happen! Very early on in their relationship, Sean made it clear to Amy that she was his future wife. Having had a nine year engagement previously, Amy expected that this kind of commitment (especially so quickly) would totally freak her out, but with Sean forever sounded just right. She knew with certainty that this ambitious, intelligent, giving, mature, genuine, loyal, and amazing man was who she was supposed to build a family and a life with. Since Sean smartly sought Amy’s input on the ring design and promised her a 2019 engagement, Amy had a feeling that a proposal might be coming during their November trip to Miami, Palm Beach, and NYC but she didn’t know when it would be. There were so many perfect opportunities in Miami, but Sean was waiting for their 7 month anniversary in Palm Beach. They were staying at the iconic Breaker’s Hotel and as the sun began to set, Sean took Amy for a walk along the sea wall. The sky was filled with beautiful colors and the sound of the waves crashing combined with the smell of the ocean air made for the ideal moment. On a romantic grassy landing looking out at the ocean and into the horizon, Sean got down on one knee and asked Amy to make his life complete by becoming his wife. With tears of joy in her eyes, she squealed, “Absolutely YES of course!”
