Seven years ago Nikki and I met through a mutual friend in high school. We were fast friends and honestly, I'll forever be grateful for that friend. Almost a year after being friends, I started to develop a crush on Nikki. They were (and still are) so charming, funny, kind and cute! At first, Nikki wasn't interested, like, at all. They were a senior and about to go to college when I started making moves, but after about a month or so of talking every day and spending lots of time together (too much time as my parents said) Nikki asked me to be their girlfriend on Thursday, January 29th, 2015. And yes I remember the day of the week! I was so smitten and could not believe someone like Nikki could like someone like me! And yes, it has been a whirlwind ever since. It was hard when we were somewhat long distance when Nikki was in college and I was finishing high school. But, we made it through and when I graduated we moved to Austin together so I could go to UT. Nikki proposed in March of 2019 in the botanical gardens in Austin. It was truly a fairytale moment. Due to COVID, school, life, etc, we have had a long engagement, but we wanted to make sure we both have the wedding of our dreams in a city we both love! Despite the long planning process, I'm so excited to finally marry the love of my life and start a family.
