FAQs

The Wedding Website of Amy Dorszynski and Nathaniel Hathorn
Question

How and when should I RSVP?

Answer

Once we send out formal invitations, you will be asked to return to this website to complete an online RSVP. We will be having passed hors d'oeuvres and a station-style dinner, so no meal selection is required in advance. Please RSVP no later than April 10th, 2025.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding calls for formal attire. This dress code is slightly more formal than cocktail attire, but less formal than a black-tie wedding. For women, this generally means a tea-length or full-length silhouette. For men, a dark-colored suit and tie is appropriate. For reference, the groomsmen will be in suits and ties, and the bridesmaids will be in light blue floor-length gowns.

Question

What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

We highly suggest booking a hotel that is nearby the venue so that you can walk there. There are many hotels that are within walking distance, so we will not be providing transportation to and from the ceremony or reception. If you do opt to drive, there is a large parking deck attached to the building (see below under "Is there parking at the venue?").

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Parking is available in the Truist Tower parking garage, which has entrances on Fifth and Sixth Street between North Tryon and College Streets. Once you park, take the elevator from the parking deck to the main floor. Walk straight past the turnstiles and turn right to get to the main lobby. Go through the lobby and exit into Truist Tower Plaza. Our building is on the right side of the plaza. The main entrance is on North Tryon Street. More details can be found here: https://www.fftc.org/directions_and_parking

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held indoors, but there is a small rooftop terrace at the venue that is available to us during the reception if you need some fresh air!

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

As much as we would love to share this day with as many people as possible, please reference your invitation for guidance on whether you have been given a plus-one. This will be indicated on the invitation and the RSVP portion of the website.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, but unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests under 18 years of age at our wedding reception. We will have children within our immediate family present for the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What type of food will be served at the reception?

Answer

We will have passed hors d'oeuvres and food stations with several types of cuisine to choose from. If you have any specific food restrictions, please indicate this on your RSVP so that we can ensure there will be options available to you.

Question

Will there be a welcome party?

Answer

Yes! We plan to host a welcome party on the Friday night before our wedding, but we have not finalized these plans yet. Keep an eye out for updates regarding this, and we would love for you to join for the night before the big day!

Question

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask for our guests to fully present during the ceremony by respectfully turning phones and cameras off. This will also allow our photographer to capture the authentic moment.
