What is the dress code for the welcome reception on Friday?

Answer

The dress code for our welcome reception at Lightfoot Restaurant on Friday is semi-formal. For women, we recommend a dress, skirt and top, jumpsuit, or pantsuit. For men, a dress shirt and slacks or jacket/blazer and slacks.

Is there parking available near the welcome reception?

Answer

Yes! We recommend parking in the Town Hall Parking Garage (25 W Market St, Leesburg, VA 20176). The first two hours are free, and it’s free after 7 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends.

What is the dress code for the wedding on Saturday?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at Birkby House on Saturday is formal. For women, we recommend a mid- or full-length dress, dressy jumpsuit, or pantsuit. Color and patterns encouraged! For men, a suit and tie.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Plan to arrive between 3:30-3:45pm and enter through the front door of the Main House. Please be seated no later than 3:50pm, the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors in the Birkby House courtyard and garden and the reception will be indoors in the Birkby House conservatory. In the case of rain, everything will move indoors.

Is there parking available near the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! There is free, overnight parking at the Liberty Street Lot (204 Liberty St SW, Leesburg, VA 20175) just behind Birkby House. Liberty Street Lot is uncovered - if you prefer covered parking, there are several garages on Loudon Street within a few blocks of Birkby House.

Can I bring a plus one?

We regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation.

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love children, we've chosen not to include them in our wedding celebrations. Thank you for understanding!

I've never been to Leesburg, what else should I do while visiting?

Answer

Please check out the "Exploring Leesburg" section of our website for restaurant and activity recommendations in and around Leesburg! If you plan to spend time in DC, we're happy to provide additional recommendations.

What time will the wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

The reception will end at 10pm, and we'll walk over to Green Tree Tavern, one of the bars on King Street (3 to 5-minute walk), for the after-party!
