It is only required for guests interested in visiting Yosemite Valley on Sunday. Only one Park Registration is required per vehicle.
Just a 5 minute drive down the road from Autocamp, visit the charming Downtown area of Mariposa, CA. Explore their many shops, museums, breweries, vineyards, and restaurants.
Visit Tunnel View to see the view that Ansel Adams made famous. Tunnel View is a must stop for any first time visit to Yosemite Valley. Find it just outside the Wawona Tunnel on State Highway 41. No hiking is required, you simply park at one of the lots and make your way to the vista. From this vista you can see El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall.
Yosemite Falls is a great spot for taking pictures! It's just a short walk from the nearby parking lot or shuttle stop.
Take in the panoramic view of the entire Yosemite Valley and beyond, from this wonderful lookout. Take the scenic road up to the peak and enjoy the breathtaking landscape.
Curry Village is one of our favorite hubs for all things adventure in the Valley. You can visit the rental desk and book some bicycles to experience Yosemite Valley up close and personal. You can rent rafts and take them out for a lazy river ride on the Merced, while taking in the view. When you get back to Curry Village, grab a bite and a drink at one of their dining locations, and browse their souvenir shop.
Come and grab a bite and a cocktail at this historic hotel! Walk around and enjoy the history, art, and architecture of this majestic place. We recommend visiting the gift shop here as well, as it is one of our favorite places for souvenirs. Fun fact: the Ahwahnee inspired Stanley Kubrick's vision for The Shining.
Climb along nature's "giant staircase," where you are rewarded with close-up views of two waterfalls and numerous geologic features (depending on how far you choose to hike). Consider this a more difficult hike with lots of stairs and quick elevation changes. Highly rewarding!
Close to the entrance gates of Yosemite National Park, take a short tour of some of the biggest and oldest trees in the Park.
