Great local movie theater chain serving food and drinks while you take in a fine film.
Great beer, one of many great breweries in Austin. Ask Amy, and I guess also Kevin, for more brewery recommendations. There's so many great ones.
The best hiking that the city limits of Austin can provide!
Biggest capital building outside of Washington DC itself
Best little honky-tonk on the east side for live music, dancing and whiskey.
Very close to the church, take in some great views after a very short trip up some stairs.
A fancy bar in a parking garage.
Dive with an excellent food truck out back
Very good taco stand. Also, if you play them a song on their ukulele, they'll give you a taco for free.
One of the best music venues in town.
There are Torchy's Tacos people and there are Tacodeli people in Austin. We're both.
Best music venue dive that attracts great bands
When you don't want to wait at Franklin's BBQ...
Family friendly, great pizza and they brew their own wonderful beers for the adults.
Good tacos within close walking distance to the hotel - Open super late. They also have this thing called Backdoor Chicken where you knock on the kitchen door in the alley outside and hand staff 20 bucks, they'll hand you a bag of chicken with sides. I've never done it, but it sounds rad.
An interactive children's "museum"/play place.
Fine establishment with a good happy hour food and drink menu
Ryan Feldman's favorite place in the world. Go there for breakfast and order a Don Juan with 3 extra tortillas. Do it!
Very good ice cream, especially their boozy flavors. Try alcohol + ice cream... you're on vacation.
Kinda weird, but if you want to visit the giant flagship Whole Foods, it's a cool place. There's a slightly smaller one close to the hotel too.
A fine place. This where Kevin and Amy had their first date.
Another site of an early Amy and Kevin date, this is an off-the-beaten-path joint for real live music.
Downtown jazz basement bar
An antique store that is stocked with the craziest stuff people's attics.
