It all started at a bar called Loser's in Nashville's Midtown. We're not biased at all, but it's the best place around; hpefully you'll all get a chance to visit. Anyway, Jon was sitting at the front door checking IDs, and I walked in with two of my best friends. It was meant to be from this point as I was ready to go home after a night downtown but was, thankfully, convinced to go to Midtown before heading back home. (Thank you Summer and Lauren). Also, that night, Jon was supposed to be on a flight to Arizona but had coincidentally missed his flight and called his boss to tell him he could work. My friends and I had been going to Loser's for quite a while, but I had never run into Jon until this night. It just so happens that this was the night I gave him my number after telling him he was a "very good looking man" and after figuring out we had quite a few mutual friends. Of course he never lets me live that down. The next night, we met again downtown with some friends, but it should also be mentioned that my phone had been acting up and happened to turn back on at the last minute...the last minute being the last time Jon said he was going to try to get in touch with me to meet us before giving up. Thankfully, my phone turned back on, and I made sure to jot down Jon's number so we could stay in contact with my friends phone in case my phone decided to act up again. After a wonderful night downtown with friends, we went on a date, just the two of us, the next week, where we ran into our mutually favorite downtown artist (which in itself is crazy given how many musicians there are downtown). That night, we also drove through downtown Nashville to see the aftermath of the Predators winning the conference finals game, at which point they were headed into the Stanley Cup finals. Nashville was INSANE. It was such a fun night, and it's all history from that point on. The stars were CERTAINLY aligned that night.
