*Must take free shuttle inside of the main canyon (7am-7pm) Easy Hikes/Walks: *Pa'rus Trail: paved path that follows the Virgin River with views of the iconic rock formations (3.5miles) *Weeping Rock: short but steep to a rocky spring (.4miles) *Riverside Walk: another paved section following the Virgin River, start of the Narrows hike (2.2miles) Moderate Hikes: *Canyon Overlook: Where we got engaged! Easy walk with an amazing viewpoint of Zion Canyon (1 mile) *Watchman Trail: Nice viewpoint of the iconic Towers (3.3miles) *Emerald Pools: Lower and upper pools. (1.5-3 miles) Strenuous *Angels Landing: One of our favorites. Must have permit to do the chains section, but you can hike to Scout's Lookout without (4.2-5.4 miles) *The Narrows: Hike in the Virgin River through the Narrows slot canyon. We recommend renting the booties! (out and back up to 9.4 miles) *Observation Point: East side of the park with great canyon views (8 miles) *Subway: West side of the park (10 miles)
Depending on if/what days we are able to secure Wave permits or Angels Landing permits, we are planning to do a horse back riding adventure for anyone interested. They also offer a lot of other guided adventures from UTV rides to canyoneering.
Another National Park less than an hour from our Orderville Airbnb. We recommend the Navajo-Queens Garden and Peekaboo Loop. Two nice campgrounds right on the rim of the amphitheater. Sunrise at Bryce point! We are planning to visit Bryce one of the days surrounding the elopement, depending on permits for other hikes. Ideally this would be Thursday and camping in or around Bryce Thursday night.
