Maid of Honor
Over 26 years ago I graced Amy’s life with my presence, helping her achieve her dream of becoming a big sister. :) We immediately formed a life-long bond that could never be broken (no matter how hard we might have tried at times). Whether or not she has always wanted to be, Amy has been by my side through all of the highs and lows of life. Despite being the annoying little sister that wanted to do everything she did, Amy has always been one of the most accepting, supportive, & inspiring people I’ve been lucky to have as a sister and friend. I am so stoked to be by her side celebrating this next step with Gib!!
Matron of Honor
Amy and I's friendship has stood the test of time, including but not limited to, surviving the awkwardness of high school, living together all four years of college, and being separated by 800 miles for almost five years. I have been fortunate to have a life-long friend like Amy, who both supports me and challenges me and has never stopped accepting me for who I am (trust me when I say that I can be a handful). Needless to say, I am thrilled to stand next to Amy on her big day and as she embarks into this next phase of life with Gib (and Solo). Cheers to another 16 years of friendship and new memories.

You know the saying, “friends forever,” that you used to tell each other in middle school? That’s us. It all started in 5th grade when I knew I wanted to be Amy’s friend, but I had no idea where we’d end up. Twenty-two years later and we’re still best friends, talking about the same old jokes. Who knew “friends forever” was a legitimate thing!? I’ve seen Amy at her best and at her worst. I’ve seen her graduate A LOT and accomplish some amazing goals, which I envy. The best thing I’ve witnessed, though, is her love grow for Gib. They’re the real deal and I can’t wait to witness her next chapter begin.

Amy and I first met when we were in dental school at the same time, however we never spent much time together back then. When I moved back to Richmond in 2017 to start my periodontal residency at VCU, Amy was one year above me and became my first new friend in the city. We initially bonded over our love for teeth, the outdoors, dogs and wine, and our friendship has grown ever since. I feel so lucky to be by Amy’s side when her and Gib say yes to forever- they truly are soulmates and I can’t imagine a more perfect match for my favorite girl!

We're at 30 years and counting of friendship, and no matter how busy we both get or how long it may go between seeing each other, it feels like no time has passed at all and we always have a good time together. From vacation bible school and murder by midnight, to pizza parties and wine station... before we each had sisters, we had each other! When I (/most of us lol) met Gib at Zack and Sarah's wedding I immediately knew he was a good one, and I'm so happy for you both! I can't wait for so many more wine dates in the future! Love you!!

I was born and raised in Chesterfield, VA by the grace of God because that allowed me to enter into Amy’s orbit. My life changed immensely for the better from the moment I met Amy, and my life has never been the same since! I now live in New York City and absolutely love it, but I dream of one day returning to Virginia to live on Amy’s & Gib’s farm. I am so grateful for all the hilarious and beautiful memories I have with Amy, I am so happy she found the greatest guy, and I am so excited for the lifetime of laughter and love they will experience!

Since the first time I met Amy on Halloween 2015, she's been so open and kind and sweet, welcoming me into the family. Over the years we've bonded over our mutual love for healthy cooking and our mutual disdain for single-use plastic. I'm constantly inspired by how she encourages everyone around her to be a better version of themselves, I am so lucky to be able to call her both a friend and a sister!

Hi, I’m Lawren- Gib’s sister so in marrying my brother, she is stuck with me, too :) After having met Amy, I could immediately tell she was the perfect match for Gib. They share so many interests, hobbies & great sense of humor- she fits in so perfectly with our family. But what is most apparent is their mutual, deep & unconditional love for “Doots” aka their puggle, Solo. Any girl in his life who loves dogs like we do is “A okay” in my book & we are so happy to have her join our fam!
Officiant
I have been friends with Gib since college, where we both excelled in the Lynchburg College School of Sciences. Though friends through Tucker, Gib and I developed an independent friendship based on excellent taste in music, political memes, and beer. I met Amy when I accompanied them on their third date, where I monopolized Amy’s time chatting about politics, food, and of course Gib. I was so thrilled to be asked to officiate the wedding I didn’t even let Amy finish her sentence, and I am honored to be a part of their special day. I live in Massachusetts with my husband, Tucker, and our adorable children, Caleb (1), and Boss (4, dog).
Best Man
Gib and I met at the hallowed halls of Lynchburg College during our freshmen year. Gib had seen me walking around in basketball shorts and assumed that I had not only played high school basketball but started. When I promptly hit the underside of the rim on a layup, Gib knew he made a major mistake. Despite this, Gib and I have been great friends since this day. Whether it be fighting birds on Christmas Eve, walking three miles through downtown Powhatan, or having fun with newspapers, we have spent some great times together. Even though we are now living far apart, we still speak everyday about serious topics like the Fast and the Furious franchise or Packers/Bears updates. I know that I can always reach out to Gib to discuss anything as that is just the type of guy he is.
Best Man
Gib and I have been friends ever since we were in the 6th grade at Blessed Sacrament Huguenot. The first time we met was at football practice, the summer before I not only started middle school, but was starting middle school at a brand new school. I thought everyone was a threat. It was summer football camp and I was a sixth grader brand new to the school, surrounded by guys who were bigger and meaner than me. I remember the first time I saw GIb, a rush of relief came over me. I took one look at him and thought to myself, “Well he’s clearly not a bully.” I was soon proven wrong by this thought after he spent the next seven years mocking me every single time my voice cracked or cut out when he was in earshot of me.
Groomsman
I met Gib on my wedding day not long after he experienced the exhilarating thrill of love at first swipe! Was it Farmer’s Only? Since meeting we have enjoyed 1 or 2 good times and a couple of beers and I think he is pretty alright…. In all seriousness, I think Gib and I hit it off very quickly. I’ve always liked him but definitely gained a whole new respect for the man once I learned about his affinity for all things DUKE’S (Mayonnaise)! I am thrilled to welcome a new brother to the family and can’t wait for all of the good times to come! GIB PARTY OF FOUR!!!!
Groomsman
I met Gib briefly in 2014 when I was dating his sister (now my wife), Lawren. It wasn’t an immediate friendship as it was brief; however, there were many family events that followed. Our friendship grew as we found that we had so much in common. It’s difficult to describe how someone new to your life can assimilate to you and find a common bond. Gib and I had a multitude of meaningful conversations to follow. I have and will always consider Gib to be my brother and not just a brother in law.
Groomsman
I met Gib Freshman year at LC in passing, but it was just head nods in the hallway or “Hey, nice Braves shirt." We became closer friends after being introduced by Tucker & Bryson our Sophomore year. We became fast friends getting into college shenanigans. After college, we stayed in touch via text messages & the yearly guys trip to different baseball stadiums. Gib and I share a mutual love of Star Wars, so much so that in our contacts he is Obi-Wan, and I am Padawan. Gib has been a great friend to me for the 12 years we have known each other, and I consider him a brother. Now that we are older & live in different states, eating together in the caf has turned into video game nights with Bryson, Gib, Tucker and I. Gib is truly one of a kind & the bond we have is one that I truly cherish.
Groomsman
The first time I laid eyes on Gib, I knew he was different than the rest of the busters who stayed in the damp, & dated dorm known as Montgomery Hall at LC. Gib started off shy in the early stages of our friendship. We’d pass each other often in the hallways & he’d play hard to get. The only attention I ever got was the subtle bro nod. As time progressed, & our passings were more frequent, I finally heard Gib say the words I’d been waiting to hear, “Whats up man.” It was then I knew we were a bro match made in Heaven. Our Freshman year ended but we stayed in touch during the summer. Sophomore year we hit the ground running & haven't looked back. From nerf basketball games, to Sheetz hot dogs, and traveling, I want you to know it’s been a blast & an honor being your friend! Love ya pal!
