We recommend booking as early as possible as the widely popular Cooper River Bridge Run is on the same day! On Saturday morning, the bridge from Mount Pleasant to Charleston will be blocked off until the afternoon, so if you choose to stay off of John's Island where the wedding will be held, we recommend staying in any of the following areas:
1. The Charleston peninsula for walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the historic downtown.
2. West Ashley, which is a quick Uber ride away from both downtown and John's Island where the venue is.
3. Other additional surrounding areas include James Island, and a bit further away are Summerville (Amy's hometown) and Kiawah Island.
We do not have a reserved room block but we have looked around and found some reputable hotels in the West Ashley area. They vary by price and of course, you are free to explore other accommodations as well.
