Ethan and Amy met while both working with Youth With A Mission, in Newcastle Australia. They lived across the hall from one another, and quickly became good friends. A year and half later, and they started dating... fast forward one more year, and they became engaged!

Ethan planned a very special date for Amy which involved: a rental car filled with lot's of snacks, a breakfast at a new restaurant, coffee and a walk around a cool part of town, some blowing of giant bubble wands (this had been something that they'd done on one of their first dates), a beautiful view over the ocean... and topped it all off by getting down on one knee and asking Amy to spend the rest of her life with him. She said... YES. (Oh an he had arranged for her to get her nails done the day before- what a man!)
