Explore Portugal's oldest protected region and only national park, Peneda-Gerês! This national park is a UNESCO biosphere reserve and has beautiful lookout points, lagoons, hiking trails, and beaches. For those that enjoy longer hikes, check out the Xertelo Route - Sete Lagoas (7 Lagoons) trail. Although it is around 6 miles, you will arrive at seven stunning lagoons where you can swim before hiking back. There are also several lookout points that you can drive up to including Miradouro da Pedra Bela, Miradouro da Portela do Homem, and Miradouro Voltas de São Bento. Visit Water Park Gerês to enjoy the beach, paddle board, or kayak. You can also have fun on the inflatable water park obstacle course!
