Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We'd love to hear from you by September 1st. Please remember to RSVP for both events: Welcome to the Bayou on Friday, October 26th and the Wedding & Reception on Saturday, October 27th.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The Friday event at the Bayou is CASUAL. Think shorts, flip flops and sunglasses. The ceremony and reception will be fancy! Cocktail attire that you can dance in would be a great choice. The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors in the courtyard, so you may need a sweater or jacket. Also be ready for a Second Line parade. Bring comfy shoes to strut around the block!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony is at 5:30 p.m. Come a bit early and grab a cocktail before the big event. The ceremony should only last about 15 minutes.

Question

What type of weather can we expect?

Answer

Keep your eyes on the forecast! It has been changing frequently due to the recent storms and late season hurricanes. Maybe some clouds and rain in the days prior to the ceremony. Wouldn't hurt to bring a shawl/light sweater for the wedding.

Question

Is it going to be crazy in the city that weekend?

Answer

Crazy, but fun! It is the weekend of Voodoo Fest and when the city celebrates Halloween. Give yourself extra time to get to your destination and try out public transportation. Uber & Lyft will likely have price surges that weekend.
