Lunikhy Wedding Venue
Lunikhy is a luxury game farm nestled right on the border of Limpopo and Mpumalanga, in 2800 hectares of unspoilt African bushveld. "Nature, and everything it represents, is an incredibly important part of our story and what’s important to us. We therefore make it our business to help our visitors create memorable experiences in the outdoors. From a wedding under an acacia canopy, to a romantic weekend in the wild, Lunikhy promises an escape from the normal." A map of the farm will be provided to guests upon entry - it is a 5-7 minute drive from the entrance of the farm to the location of the wedding ceremony.
House Or Rental
Lunikhy Accommodation
Lunikhy Game Farm offers limited self-catering accommodation for our wedding guests to combine the beauty of the majestic bush with the comfort of leisure living. All accommodation on the farm has been reserved for our guests throughout the weekend. Once we have an idea of confirmed numbers and those requiring accommodation, we will reach out to assign room bookings. A room fee of R2,000 (~$120) per person for the weekend will be asked (this includes accommodation for both Friday and Saturday night) - this to ensure we can take advantage of all the farm has to offer! ACCOMMODATION WILL BE PROVIDED ON A FIRST-COME FIRST-SERVE BASIS. SHOULD YOU WISH TO MAKE USE OF THE ACCOMMODATION, PLEASE LET US KNOW WHEN YOU RSVP. For the convenience of those staying on the farm, a shuttle will be available to transport guests to and from their chalets on the night of the wedding. It is a 5-7 minute drive (within the borders of the farm) from the chalets to the reception venue. Please make use of the map provided upon entry to locate your assigned room and other available farm amenities*. *There is a swimming pool and Deli on the farm. The Deli will be selling delicious food and refreshing drinks for purchase throughout the duration of the weekend (Open 6am - 8pm everyday).
Flight
O.R. Tambo International Airport
For our international guests, or those guests travelling from afar, we recommend booking your flights into and out of O.R. Tambo International Airport. It is Johannesburg's primary airport conveniently located an hour and 15 minute drive to the wedding venue.
Travel Note
General Logistical Information
Given dates of arrival for our guests are expected to be somewhat sporadic, please reach out should you require any logistical information about getting to and from the venue, traveling around Johannesburg, etc. Rental cars are however available from OR Tambo International Airport. The Gautrain is not recommended given its proximity to Lunikhy.
