Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to RSVP by 12th March 2026.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that our guests arrive no later than 4:45pm to allow the ceremony to go ahead as scheduled at 5pm.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Whilst we would love to welcome your plus one, unfortunately due to budget and number restrictions we are unable to accomodate plus ones unless named on your invitation. We hope you understand!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love guests to dress formally for the day, but black tie isn’t expected. It’s a summer celebration in a beautiful botanical garden, so feel free to have fun with colour and lighter fabrics. Most importantly, if you’re planning on dancing the night away, you may want to bring along some flip flops or comfy shoes for the later hours!

Question

Will the celebrations take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and drinks reception will take place outdoors so our guests can enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful surroundings. Our dinner and evening party will take place indoors and there will be air conditioning. Please note that for the duration of the ceremony, our guests will be seated in full sun and it is likely to be hot - don't forget suncream! We will provide parasols and fans. The area where we will have our drinks reception is heavily shaded.

Question

Can we take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We intend on having an 'unplugged' ceremony as we would love our guests to be fully present. We have an amazing team of professionals capturing photos and videos for us so we kindly ask that no pictures or videos are taken by guests during our short ceremony.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Drinks are included for most of the celebration. The drinks reception (1.5hrs) will offer a selection of wines, spirits, beer, soft drinks and mineral water. During the meal (2hrs), red and white wine, beer, soft drinks, juices, mineral water, coffee and tea will be served. The evening open bar (3hrs) will include the same selection as the drinks reception. Drinks outside of this time will be available to purchase.

Question

How will I get to and from the venue?

Answer

We recommend to use taxi services such as Uber or Bolt to get to and from the venue. They are readily available and shouldn't take long to arrive. Please note the drop off/pick up location is: Calçada do Galvão E, 1400-171 Lisboa, Portugal. Someone will be present at the gates to show you into the gardens and security will be present in the evening.

Question

What are the plans for the weekend?

Answer

On Thursday 11th June, we’d love to see as many of you as possible for a relaxed pre-wedding drink in the evening. We’re planning to meet at the Locke de Santa Joana Hotel at around 7pm, where we’ll be staying. The hotel has a courtyard bar accessed through the main restaurant, and everyone is welcome, you don’t need to be staying at the hotel to join us. We’d also love to catch up again on Saturday 13th June in the afternoon for some informal post-wedding drinks before many of you head home on Sunday. We will be meeting at Rossio Gardens from 3pm onwards. Please note that 13th June is St. Anthony’s Day (Festa de Santo António), so Lisbon will be busy with street parties, parades and music, it’s a great day to experience the city, but things may be busier than usual.
