What was slated to be a regular Friday night out with the guys turned into an epic night we would never forget. A beautiful lady from small-town South Jersey was home in her PJs after a long, stressful workweek. She was prepared to end her night with a healthy dose of old SNL YouTube clips and shut-eye when her buddy from Oakland invited her to join the fellas for a drink. Among said fellas was a tall, dark, and handsome Sacramento native, who thought their Uber was headed to the Marina or Polk Street. However, much to his initial dismay, they ended up in Hayes Valley: a quiet, bougie San Francisco neighborhood riddled with cafes, wine bars, and cheese shops on every corner. After a photo motivated her into agreeing to just one drink, the lady had almost no advanced notice to get ready and moved at lightning speed as the group arrived and waited below. During this time, the tall-dark-handsome guy was growing uncharacteristically impatient, pleading with his buddies to call another Uber and go somewhere else, literally anywhere else, that is, until he saw the lady for the first time. His future wife, the woman of his dreams, descended onto the street like an angel from heaven. Time stood still. His heart skipped a beat and he fell heels-over-head in love. After leading the group to a high-end, craft cocktail bar where her guests all ordered beers, the lady redirected them to a more appropriate spot for their palettes. On the journey to the beer hall, the guy revealed his athletic prowess on the monkey bars and the lady was quite impressed. En route, the lady bravely grabbed the guy's hand, not having a clue how he was feeling (actually, HE wasn't even able to describe how he was feeling at that moment). After he regained his composure, they spent the rest of the night into the wee hours of the morning deep in conversation, getting lost in each other's eyes (at least when the guy wasn't too nervous to look into her eyes). The rest, as they say, is history.
