Rehersal Dinner/Haldi

4:00 pm

Please wear yellows, oranges, and floral attire. Think Tumeric!

The Haldi is a pre-wedding ceremony that is marked by the application of tumeric paste to the bride and groom by their close family members. The Haldi attracts positive energy and blessings ensuring the couple's marriage is filled with happiness and success. The tumeric paste symbolizes cleansing of any impurities and negative energeies preparing them for the new life together. The beauty of the couple will be enhanced through this ritual. Tumeric is auspicious and is believed to bring good luck and prosperity. Family members convey their blessings and good wishes to the bride and groom. The collective prayers and positive intentions of loved ones are believed to imbue the ceremony with sacred energy. The Haldi will be followed by the rehersal dinner and all are welcome.
