If your invitation says "and guest" or your partner is specifically named on the invite - bring them along! We'd love for both of you to attend. Otherwise, we'd prefer it was just you.
We would love for all of you to be involved in our wedding ceremony - please take a moment to put your phones/cameras/devices away before it begins. We promise our fantastic photographer will capture all of the best moments! If you'd like a photo, we'd be happy to share them with you.
Semi-formal or cocktail attire, please! September in the Hudson Valley should be beautiful, but if that tie chokes you or those heels squish your toes, feel free to dress it down a bit to be comfortable. Please note that our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting!) on grass, so maybe skip the stilettos!
We're sending invites out early to help us to accommodate a large number of international guests. As soon as you know whether you can come, please let us know!
We're keeping it to children who are in the family (keep an eye out for the adorable flower-nieces!), but if you have a specific concern about bringing your kids, please contact us and we'll figure something out.
Please let us know and we'll make a plan for you to be fed! Some notes for common concerns: Vegans: our vegetarian menu option is also vegan Kosher: we are sourcing kosher meals for our kosher friends and family
Clare has decided to keep her last name and add Amir's, a-la Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Jocelyn Bell Burnell (not bad company to be in, to be fair). In the spirit of compromise, Amir is taking Clare's last name as his middle name. These changes will take a little time to sort out, so if you need a name, stick to our pre-marriage ones until a few weeks after the wedding.
Sure! Shoot us an email at amirandclare@gmail.com and we'll try to put you in touch with other guests looking to share.
You'll need to get yourself to and from the venue. Both Uber and Lyft are available in Kingston, along with regular cabs. We will also have a limited number of Lyft discounts to help with transportation costs - check out our travel page for details.
There is parking available on the Senate House grounds, as well as on the opposite side of Clinton Ave. The venue asks that guests do not leave cars in the on-site parking overnight, so please only use this parking if you are also planning on driving at the end of the evening. There will be an open bar, so please drink responsibly and plan accordingly. The lots are exclusively for the use of Senate Garage guests after 5 pm, but are open to the public before that. Additionally, there is a municipal parking lot just around the corner at 21 N Front Street, a short walk from the venue.
