Six years ago Amie skipped a Super Bowl party for the bookstore and ran into an old friend while walking there. He invited her in for a drink at Illegal Pete’s (which will be served at the wedding) and introduced her to Michael. Our first conversation was about the Colorado River and our love for water. After a few rock-climbing dates, a trip to Chaco Canyon, a summer living in different states and Amie riding her bicycle around town dreaming of and praying for Michael, we took a hike to Silver Dollar Lake where Michael said “I’m going to spend the rest of my life with you.” Amie said “okay” because she was so elated that was all she could get out...then six months of letters and packages were exchanged while Amie worked in India. . . We reunited after those months apart, our love having grown fonder for the distance. Imogen was born in July of 2015 and our wedding will be the day after her third encircling of the sun. . . Having a mutual commitment before each other and God, we are so excited to finally make it legal & celebrate with our friends and family. Thank you for being a part of our community! We love you
