The Ceremony will be taking place in Yosemite, while the Reception and the Game Day will be taking place outside the park in Bass Lake. These locations are 51 miles from one another, but due to windy mountain roads and traffic entering the park, it can take two and a half hours to get from one location to the other. To avoid traffic while entering the park for the Ceremony at Glacier Point, we would recommend that guests stay in Yosemite on the 19th and in Bass Lake on the 20th. The three places closest to the Ceremony location, all of which are located in the park, are Yosemite West, Wawona, and Yosemite Village. Please see below for more information on these sites. We will be having our Reception at the Pines Resort in Bass Lake, and there are multiple lodging options both in Bass Lake and the nearby town of Oakhurst. Please see more information for each of these locations below.

Yosemite West is the closest location to Glacier Point with lodging available in September 2025. If you are interested in this location, we would recommend perusing AirBnB or scenicwonders.com for places to stay.

Wawona

Wawona, CA 95389

Wawona is located just past the southern entrance to the park. This area offers a variety of options ranging from camping to cabins for rent and also has a general store nearby that offers groceries, snacks, and other necessities. If you are interested in camping, the majority of the camp sites in Yosemite open for reservations three months prior to the date of your stay. So, if you're looking to stay in Wawona Campground on September 19th, we would recommend making a reservation using Recreation.gov on June 19th. Alternatively, rental agencies such as the Redwoods in Yosemite offer cabins and other lodging in this area.

Yosemite Valley, CA 95389

Yosemite Valley is one of the most central locations in the park if you are looking to explore and do some hiking. The Yosemite Valley Lodge, the Ahwahnee Hotel, and Curry Village all offer unique lodging options. The valley is a popular place to stay so if you're interested in this location we'd recommend booking early when possible.
