Things To Do

We've picked out some of our favorite go-to spots in our backyard (Southie)! We hope you feel as at home here as we have over the past six years. Just over the bridge is Seaport (where the hotel room blocks are), and there are just as many great spots for exploring and dining! If you can't already tell, we love our food spots, so if you're looking for a recommendation, shoot us a text!

American Provisions

613 East Broadway, Boston, MA 02127

Head over to American Provisions for some amazing sandwiches to go. Amelia's go-to: The Farmhouse (ask for extra mustard if you like a little kick) Nick's: Italian, no tomatoes

Annie’s Bakery & Cafe

753 East Broadway, Boston, MA 02127

Head over to Annie's, our favorite bakery and morning stop in Southie. Grab some fresh-baked pastries, great breakfast sandwiches, and coffee — but honestly, the staff is what keeps us coming back!

Castle Island Brewing - South Boston

10 Old Colony Avenue, Boston, MA 02127

Looking for a good beer or bar pizza?? Stop in for a quick drink with rotating beers, seltzers, & ciders and the best bar pizza outside of the South Shore. Nick's ordering a Keeper, Amelia's going Candlepin or White Ale — feel free to follow our lead.

Gray's Hall

615 East Broadway, Boston, MA 02127

Amelia and Nick's favorite date night spot in South Boston. A warm, neighborhood gathering spot with a carefully curated wine list, local beers, and a seasonal menu. Strong recommendations: Housemade Pretzel Baguette, Gray’s Burger (make it a double!), and Hand-cut Fries (best french fries in South Boston).

Hunter's Kitchen and Bar

110 Dorchester Street, Boston, MA 02127

Southern comfort food in a warm, rustic hunting lodge-style space — think fried chicken, ribs, and biscuits with honey butter, plus a great full bar right in the middle of it all. Popcorn Chicken, Fried Pickles, and the Smash Burger are our favorites.

L Street Tavern

658 East 8th Street, Boston, MA 02127

A famous Boston dive great for grabbing a pint (or a few). The Guinness pour rivalry between L Street versus Shamrock is strong, but we think Shamrock still takes it home! Well known for its cameo in Good Will Hunting! How do you like them apples!?

Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant

425 West Broadway, Boston, MA 02127

A South Boston classic with wood-fired pizzas and a welcoming tavern vibe. One of the most well-rounded spots on the list for food and drinks. Recommendations include: Blackened Chicken Caesar Wrap and any of the pizzas.

Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar

412 West Broadway, Boston, MA 02127

This is Amelia's favorite bar in South Boston. Her go-to beverage of choice is the "Little Devil". Give it a try... if you dare!

The Playwright

658 East Broadway, Boston, MA 02127

A South Boston staple with a great bar, solid pub food, and a fun atmosphere — perfect for grabbing a drink and a bite before the festivities. We recommend the Creamy Artichoke Dip!

Shamrock Pub

501 East 8th Street, Boston, MA 02127

A casual Irish pub and true Southie neighborhood staple, great for grabbing a cold beer and a bite in a laid-back, no-frills setting. This is Nick's favorite bar in South Boston. For the Guinness fans, they pour a great Guinness.

Tom English's Cottage

118 Emerson Street, Boston, MA 02127

A beloved South Boston dive bar that's been around since the 1950s. Grab a cold one, shoot some pool, play darts or keno, and soak in some real Boston character. Cash only — there's an ATM inside.

The Broadway

726 East Broadway, Boston, MA 02127

Roza Lyons

709 East Broadway, Boston, MA 02127
