Is there a dress code?

We're recommending cocktail attire, but your comfort is important to us! Wear what you'll feel best in. Note that in July, the average high is 78 degrees and the average low is 50, so we recommend bringing a jacket for the evening hours.

Question

Will the wedding be child-friendly?

Answer

We'd love to have children at all weekend events with the exception of the ceremony and reception on Saturday. The reception will be adjacent to an unfenced swimming pool, and we felt the setup might not be safe for young children. However, we will be working with childcare providers in the area to provide onsite supervision during the ceremony and reception. If you'd like to utilize this option, please let us know when you RSVP.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Our top recommended hotels - Carmel Valley Lodge and Hidden Valley Inn - are right across the street from and next to the venue, respectively, and are just a couple minutes' walk away. We also have a limited number of shuttles that will pick up at locations within Carmel Valley itself - please let us know where you're staying when you RSVP so we can accommodate as many people as possible. If you do choose to stay outside Carmel Valley, Uber and Lyft are available in the area but limited, so we recommend scheduling them in advance. If you'd still like to drive, we do have parking on site, but let us know!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In July, the high in Carmel Valley is 78 degrees but the low is 50, so we recommend dressing for warm weather during the day but bringing a jacket for the cool evenings. If you're exploring the coast, know that July is a surprisingly cold and windy time of year in the Monterey Peninsula and Big Sur area. Dress warmly!
