A Livermore Valley icon (and where we’re getting married!) Founded in 1883, Wente Vineyards is the oldest operated, family-owned winery in the United States. For 5 generations, the Wente family has shape California wine, most notably through the Wente clone of Chardonnay, which influenced the majority of Chardonnay vines planted across the state today. This beautiful estate is where we’ll be celebrating our wedding, but if you’re in town for the weekend, we’d love for you to enjoy it too. If you have time, we highly recommend booking a tasting to experience the wines and take in the vineyard views. It’s a perfect place to slow down and enjoy Livermore Valley wine country.
Amber & Sean’s favorite winery If you’re looking for a true local gem, Murrieta’s Well Winery is a must-visit. This historic estate is one of the oldest wineries in Livermore Valley and holds a special place in our hearts. Think cozy European vibes, stunning vineyards, and seriously good wine! We love it for a relaxed afternoon tasting or a slow glass of wine outside. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. Highly recommend adding this to your weekend plans if you have time to explore.
Sean’s mom’s favorite winery A true Livermore Valley classic, Las Positas Vineyards is all about easygoing charm, beautiful views, and wines meant to be enjoyed slowly. This family-owned vineyard has a warm, welcoming feel and is perfect for a laid-back tasting with friends or family. It’s a wonderful spot to relax, soak in the scenery, and experience the heart of the local wine community. No rush, no fuss, just really good wine and great company.
Amber & Sean’s favorite hidden gem Tucked away in Livermore Valley, Tenuta Vineyards is one of those places you’d never find unless someone told you about it, and that’s exactly why we love it. The owners describe it as the “Tuscany of Livermore” vibe, and once you’re there, you’ll see why. It feels intimate, peaceful, and transportive in the best way. It’s also the only winery in the area offering beer on tap (Sean’s favorite detail, of course), making it a fun and unique tasting experience. If you’re looking for something a little off the beaten path with an easy vibe, this is the spot!

Set among rolling vineyards and beautiful Livermore Valley views, Wente Vineyards Golf Course is not only where we’ll be saying “I do,” but also a place Sean has always loved spending time on the course. It’s peaceful, scenic, and truly one of the most special spots in the area for us. If you’re a golfer, or just want to explore the grounds, this is a perfect place to soak in the setting that means so much to our story.
