We were set up on a blind date for Tyler's fraternity formal that Spring. We briefly met before to introduce ourselves and then we were heading to Jacksonville for the weekend. Despite knowing nothing about each other, we had a blast the entire weekend. After a wonderful weekend away, we headed back to reality that Sunday. Later that night, I got a text from Tyler asking if we could see each other again. We then went on our first official date a few days later and have been together ever since.
It was a Friday night in August. We had spent the entire day getting Tyler's classroom together and ready for him to begin his new job. As we were driving home, I was told that we were surprising my cousin with an engagement party. I got ready and Abby and Colby picked me up and we were off to Clarksville, Georgia. As we pull up, all I saw was my dad and his car. We get out of the car and my sister and brother walk in a different direction and my dad told me to come here. I walked over and he then led me up a small path in a little garden. He told me that there was somebody waiting for me up ahead. As I walked up the candle lit pathway, I spot Tyler. String lights were hanging everywhere, music was playing in the background, and roses were everywhere. Tyler told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and got down on one knee and proposed. Easiest yes of my life!
