Rich and I first met at Javier's Cantina in Irvine. As we sat there eating and sipping on our margaritas, the laughter and conversations lasted up until closing time. One date turned into two, three... and we quickly realized we have the same outlook on life, family and what we both want in our futures. Eventually, Rich would come over to my house with a nice bottle of wine and I would cook us our soon to be famous “Wine Wednesday” date night dinners. We noticed how much fun we have together just doing the most simple things in life. Not long after we started our Wednesday date nights and spending weekends together, we soon found ourselves on a train to San Diego, catching a flight to Monterey, Las Vegas and eventually to the islands of Fiji - where we’d say our first “I love you”. A year later we decided to book a Southern Caribbean cruise which was departing from Puerto Rico. After having multiple obstacles and even being stuck in the Dallas Airport for nearly 12 hours, we were finally able to catch a night flight to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. The next morning we woke up to an absolutely gorgeous view of the ocean and immediately started enjoying our day. As we were relaxing by the pool, Rich and an attendant suggested we spend our day in one of the beach cabanas. As I was getting myself situated in the cabana, Rich shared that he was going to grab us some cocktails. I noticed that he was acting a little unusual, but didn't think much of it. When he came back instead of cocktails he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said “YES!!!” Our Caribbean adventure continued and now we are on to our wedding planning adventure together. Rich and I can’t wait to say our “I do’s” and celebrate our love and this special day in life with all of you!
