Flight
This airport is located on Long Island in Islip, NY. It is the closest airport to the hotel blocks, but there are a limited number of flights to and from MacArthur.
Flight
This airport is located in Queens, NY. It is the easiest airport to travel to and from using public transportation, by taking the AirTrain from the terminal to Jamaica station, which services the Long Island Railroad.
Flight
This airport is located in Queens, NY. It is the nicest New York Metropolitan Area airport. It is also only 15 minutes away from Manhattan. Public transportation connection is available by taking an Uber to the Woodside station of the Long Island Railroad. A bus/subway connection is also possible but it is a little less convenient.
Train
For our friends on the east coast, Amtrak can be a convenient way to travel without having to worry about driving. We would recommend taking the Amtrak to Penn Station and then hopping on the LIRR out to Long Island.
Train
The Long Island Railroad is a convenient way to travel from JFK airport to the rest of Long Island or just to get around from place to place without worrying about traffic. You can download the MTA TrainTime app for schedules and train station locations or to purchase mobile tickets.
Travel Note
If you're driving to us from New England and you want to skip the city traffic or enjoy a nice boat ride, consider taking the ferry across the Long Island Sound! There are two ferry companies that both run boats to the island. The Cross Sound Ferry sails between New London, CT and Orient Point, NY (the very east end of Long Island on the North Fork). The Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Steamboat Company sails between Bridgeport, CT and Port Jefferson, NY, a bit further west than the Cross Sound route. If you plan to take a ferry, we'd recommend you book ahead at the respective sites. Cross Sound Ferry: https://www.longislandferry.com/ Bridgeport - Port Jeff Ferry: https://www.88844ferry.com/about
