Where it all started (we went here for our first date in 2018). Don't be afraid - order a Brotato, Guilt Trip, or another of their special burritos, and make sure you arrive hungry.
Summer on Long Island is best spent near the ocean. Drive to Robert Moses or Jones Beach State Parks, or take the ferry from Bay Shore to Kismet or Ocean Beach. You can also walk from Parking Field 5 at Robert Moses to the Fire Island Lighthouse (and you can climb the lighthouse for a great view). Check out one of the bars or restaurants on Main Street in Bay Shore. Local Burger, Ralph's Italian Ices, The Pizzeria, The Pie at Salvatore's, and Salt & Barrel are all favorites, but ask Paul if you need any recs.
Babylon is full of great spots to hang out, eat, and drink. Swell Taco (Amber's favorite), Del Fuego, Argyle Grill, and The Local are some spots to check out. Pick up some surf gear at Bunger while you're there. Ask Amber if you need any other details!
The BEST ice cream on Long Island. Our favorite flavors are cookie monster, chocolate fudge brownie, cookie dough, and crumb cake.
A great brewery on the south shore of Long Island - great for having a couple beers or lunch or dinner. Get some local oysters while you're there!
Centrally located between the two wedding hotels, this is a great spot for brunch. Amber recommends the cinnamon swirl pancakes. Paul recommends the bananas foster ones. Let us know if you try them!
The North Fork of Long Island is a beautiful, scenic part of the island that is a lovely place to spend time in summer. If you're in Greenport stop in for lunch at Lucharitos, have a snack or a drink at Claudio's or Crabby Jerry's on the water, or take a ride on the carousel in town. Or, explore the wineries, vineyards, and farmstands that are all along the North Fork. If you don't want to go so far out, the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead is a lot of fun too. Whatever you do, if you make the trip out or are passing through from the ferry, DO NOT skip a trip to Magic Fountain in Mattituck for Ice Cream.
If you look hard enough, you can find the chicken coop here.
The best and only water park on Long Island, it's a great place to spend a hot summer day.
