Destiny USA
Destiny USA is a large shopping mall full of department stores, outlets, experiences, and restaurants. It is about a 10 minute drive from the Marriott Downtown Syracuse and has something for everyone. Fun fact: we had our first date here! Stop by Kung Fu Tea to get a bubble tea for us!
Pastabilities
This is an extremely poplar Italian restaurant known for their homemade pasta and spicy hot tomato oil. It is about a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk from the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. They do not take reservations, so it is first come first serve. If you can get a table we highly recommend it!
Skaneateles
Skaneatles is a small town about 30 minutes outside of Syracuse which sits next to the cleanest of all the Finger Lakes. We have spent lots of time here over the years. visiting family, going for boat rides and swimming, going to restaurants, and enjoying the town. It is an excellent place for a day trip with tons to do. Stop by Vermont Green Mountain Specialty for a coffee, hot vanilla, or a sweet treat (thanks Aunt Kay), the Elephant in the Dove for amazing Mexican food and our annual summer date spot, or Hidden Fish to get incredible sushi and a taste of our staple date food. They also offer a dinner cruise on the lake if you want to enjoy the view. We know you will enjoy your visit as much as we do!
Mitsuba
Of all the places we have gone together and dates we have been on, Mitsuba is at the top of the list. We love sushi and it is a staple in our lives as a couple (and our diets). It is about a 15 minute drive from the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. They have a sushi lunch special every day except Sundays from 12-3:30 pm and we go as often as possible (yes, the staff know who we are). They also have hibachi style food if fish is not your thing. If you are looking for the most authentic Amber and Nick date this takes the cake!
CopperTop Tavern Camillus
This is the location where we had our first dinner date (second actual date) and several more after! They have a wide variety of food and a very relaxed atmosphere. It is about 12 minutes from the Marriott Syracuse Downtown.
Funk 'n Waffles
This is a great breakfast (or late night) spot to grab some awesome food! They have specialty waffles, breakfast sandwiches, coffees, and lunches you can only dream of. It is about a 4 minute drive or 10 minute walk from the Syracuse Marriott Downtown. If you have never been it is a Syracuse staple!
Dinosaur Bar-B-Que
This Food Network- featured barbecue spot is highly rated and worth the visit! They have incredible food and live music which is definitely worth a visit. They are about a 5 minute drive from the Marriott Syracuse Downtown.
Tully's Good Times Erie Blvd.
Tully's is a Syracuse staple know for their chicken tenders. If you haven't had them it is a must. This location is about 12 minutes from the Syracuse Marriott Downtown. They are also on DoorDash and GrubHub!
Faegan's Cafe & Pub
This is the very bar where we met! It is on the Syracuse University campus where we attended countless SU games and Amber completed her doctorate. If you want somewhere to have a drink or bite to eat while you stroll down our memory lane this is the place for you! Faegan's is about a 5 minute drive from the Marriott Syracuse Downtown.
