Our Story
Nick and Amber met on a Wednesday night in January at a college bar on the Syracuse University Hill thanks to several coincidences and our college housemates being siblings (shoutout to Julia and Dan). They exchanged numbers that night and went on our first date the following Saturday. They quickly realized they wanted to be together and officially started dating on March 6th of 2020, which was promptly followed by a global pandemic. They spent the first few months of their relationship on FaceTime and sneaking in dates when able. Amber started her PhD program at SU that fall, Nick started a new job, and slowly the world got back to normal. Nick and Amber moved in together in December of 2021 settling in Camillus. After a little more time and discussion, Nick proposed on July 26th, 2023 in Lake Placid at the start of their Adirondack 46er journey. They had a long engagement so Amber could complete her PhD, but now they are ready to be married and start their next chapter together!
