It is a long flight to Hawaii so we highly recommend you book as direct a flight as possible. Kona is your best option for that and is closest to accommodations. There is also an airport in Hilo if you find a good rate there.

- All beaches are public access in Hawaii. Resorts don’t offer you special access to beaches. - Renting a car is a requirement to get around. - Waimea is ~15 minutes to the beach, ~1 hour to Kona and ~2 hours to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
