We're getting married!

We met cheering at UWEC in winter of 2018. In spring, we bonded over our mutual love of margaritas. When we got back from our Spring Break Cheer Trip, we started the tradition of Margarita Mondays. These started out as group events, but with the always-changing schedules of our friends, they often ended up being just us two. Margarita Mondays set the foundation of our friendship as we bonded over our love of cheer, large age gap between siblings, and many other things we found to have in common. We became best friends. When COVID hit, Margarita Mondays stopped, but our friendship and support of each other continued. We loved going for motorcycle rides together. On May 2nd, 2020 Kyler took me on a ride to the 'castle' in Elk Mound, WI. The road to the top was closed, so we had to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up, but when we made it to the top of the tower, Kyler looked at me and asked if I was ready to be his girlfriend. From then on, we were inseparable. We were able to spend our last year of college enjoying each other's company and support. When school ended, we moved into our first apartment together in St. Paul, MN. This was the biggest city either of us lived in. We enjoyed exploring the city and were very glad we chose to live next to a large park. About a month after moving in, we adopted our two cats, Barley and Bellini. Now we can't imagine life without them. After one year in St. Paul, we moved to Hudson, WI. After moving to Hudson, we decided that we wanted to visit wineries all over the St. Croix River Valley. It was at one of these wineries, Rustic Roots, that Kyler would get down on one knee and ask me to marry him. He did this on October 23, 2022. He asked one of my teaching friends, who also happened to work at the winery, to film the whole thing. Since saying, "yes," we have been to over 15 different wineries, but keep coming back to Rustic Roots, which is also where we took our engagement pictures. We moved back to my home town of West Bend, WI in July 2023 and are eagerly finalizing the details of our wedding!
