Lake Placid is about a 5 and a half to 6 hour drive from Buffalo, depending on the traffic. Keeping this in mind, we recommend you arrive by Friday so that you are well rested for our wedding on Saturday. Technically this is a destination wedding. We recommend reserving at least a 2 night stay, preferably three, so you will get the most out of your Adirondacks trip!
We have reserved a 34-person school bus to transport guests to and from our event as Ubers and taxis are in short supply in the area. We recommend that you check with Amber before reserving your accommodations to ensure that your accommodations can reasonably be added to our shuttle route. Please see the "Travel" section of this website for lodging recommendations.
Please see the "Travel" Section of our website for specific recommendations. To make transportation to our venue as simple as possible on the day of our wedding, we recommend you choose accommodations either in Wilmington, or downtown Lake Placid.
Yes, children are invited to celebrate with us. We ask that if you are bringing small children to please remove them from the ceremony if they become unruly. There will be a cabin on the property where children can go to decompress and play.
Although your presence with us on our special day is what we care about the most, we ask that you dress in semi-formal attire. Since Adirondack evenings can get a bit chilly in October, we recommend bringing a jacket or shawl.
Yes, there is a small gravel parking lot on the property.
