The Nalley family has an annual family vacation in Ocean City, MD the 2nd Friday in June every year. This has been a family tradition for over 20 years and a trip Jason started attending in 2019 after they started dating. In 2024 only a month after Amber and Jason had their second son they attended the family vacation. Jason thought it would be cool to do something different that year and planned an ice cream boat tour on the bay featuring 5 different ice cream samples from the Taharka Brothers. The boat stopped in the middle of the bay for pictures and Jason got down on one knee and proposed to Amber in front of her parent's, children, brother Bret, Sister Tiffany and her family, and friends Brandon and Hanna. It was a complete surprise and the most perfect way to propose. Therefore it seems only fitting to have the Taharka Brothers Ice Cream based out of Baltimore catering an evening treat at the reception.

Amber and Jason met at the gym, they would see each other every day at the same time. One day as Amber was walking out, Jason said a slick comment about her leaving already and she quickly retorted, and eye rolled. Amber would later apologize, only because she thought he was cute; they would chat casually and eventually he asked if she would go for drinks with him, which she countered and said he could meet her for a 6am workout. If you know Jason, he does not like to work out in the morning, but he showed up. He asked Amber out for drinks again, she agreed. Amber showed up for one drink then left because she had other plans with her girlfriends. They continued to date and before she knew it, the girl who never wanted to settle down, fell in love, moved to Calvert County (where the heck is that), had two beautiful boys, a bonus daughter and is getting married to her best friend.
