We're getting married!

HOW WE MET We first met at the Columbus Blue Jackets, where Jake had been working for a couple of years. Amber came in for a tour of the office and her pretty auburn hair caught the light, cascading around her shoulders and instantly captured his attention. We began working together and often went out with other coworkers, sharing laughs, photos of our dogs and discovering a deeper bond that hinted at something more. We knew then there was an undeniable connection. OUR FIRST DATE Our first date was at Grandview Cafe, where we jokingly spied on Adam during his date while reluctantly choking down the Tequila shots that he sent us from across the bar. We returned the favor with a good ole double of Jameson. Adam was Jake's roommate at the time, and little did we know, the three of us would all share The Castle together eventually. Not ready to end the night, we headed to Woodlands Tavern, where Amber drunkenly shared her feelings. Even though Jake didn't hear a single word that she said in that moment, he offered to take her to a fancy dinner the following night. This “official” first date was at Hudson 29, but we don’t count that one! Amber was suddenly quiet and shy as there was no longer any liquid courage. Luckily, that didn't sway Jake away and we continued to spend time together. FALLING IN LOVE Over the following months, our connection grew stronger. We introduced our dogs, attended sporting events, and went on numerous dates around Columbus. On September 24th, after dinner at the Wine Bistro stuffing our faces with pizza and wine, we became an official couple. THE PROPOSAL Three years later from that date, Jake finally mustered up the courage and proposed at the Dublin Bridge on a beautiful fall evening. As the sun set, we crossed the bridge and to Amber's surprise we found our dogs, Nash and Zack, on the other side waiting with our friend, Katie. He got down on one knee, and Amber said yes —an unforgettable moment. LOOKING FORWARD Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we are excited to start this new chapter filled with love, laughter, and adventure, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our family and friends.
