Travel

We’re so thankful to have our friends and family joining us in DC for this celebration! We wanted to provide some guidance on getting around DC, places to stay, and fun things to do!

Flight

Travel Information

For folks who are flying in, we recommend flying into Reagan Airport if you can, as it is much easier to get into the city. Dulles Airport is about 50 minutes from downtown DC, but there is a metro station at the airport that can bring you into town within 1.5 hours. BWI is also further away, but there's an airport shuttle that can take you to the MARC train station, which can bring you into DC. If you decide to take a train, Amtrak Northeast Regional has multiple trains a day headed into Union Station DC, which has a red line stop that can bring you right into Dupont Circle.

Lodging Options

We recommend staying in Dupont Circle if you can, or somewhere along the red line. We have a block at The Royal Sonesta, Dupont Circle, linked below. The Patterson Mansion has a hotel attached to the venue, putting you steps away from our ceremony space, its called PlaceMakr Dupont. If you’re hoping to stay in a luxury hotel, The Dupont Circle Hotel or SIXTY DC would be excellent options. For more affordable rooms, the Courtyard Dupont Circle or the Washington Plaza Hotel are lovely and will keep you close to the venue and the excitement of downtown DC.
