Travel Note
To travel to Mexico, you must have a passport and your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay. However, some airline will require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates when flying to Mexico (Ex: If you return 3/1 your passport will need to expire AFTER 9/1/2026). Please confirm with your airline!

The hotel is located 20 minutes from PVR Airport. For those located in San Diego, consider leveraging CBX and flying from TIJ Airport for an easy customs experience - details highlighted in the travel note below.

For our guests traveling from San Diego, flying out of Tijuana International Airport (TIJ) using the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) is a convenient and cost-effective option! Here’s everything you need to know to make your trip seamless: 1. Search for flights departing from TIJ (Tijuana International Airport) to PVR (Puerto Vallarta International Airport). Flights from TIJ are often more affordable than from San Diego (SAN) or Los Angeles (LAX). 2. Purchase Your CBX Ticket. CBX is a pedestrian bridge that connects directly from San Diego to TIJ, allowing you to skip border wait times. Buy your CBX ticket online in advance (https://www.crossborderxpress.com) or at the CBX terminal. 3. Arriving at CBX & Crossing the Border. The CBX terminal is located at 2745 Otay Pacific Dr, San Diego, CA 92154. You can drive and park at CBX (long-term parking available) or take a rideshare (Uber/Lyft). Make sure you have: A valid passport, Your boarding pass (must show a departing flight from TIJ), CBX ticket/ 4. Walk through CBX (takes about 15-20 minutes) and go straight to check-in/security inside TIJ airport. Once you arrive in PVR, you will not need to go through customs because the flight was domestic!
