Together is a beautiful place to be.

October of 2009, Amber was staying the night at a friends house, and that friend happened to be Cody’s sister. Cody and Amber ended up staying up all night talking about everything from movies and music to family and life. The next day after Amber went home Cody told his sister he knew he was in love. Three days later at Wednesday night church he asked her to be his girlfriend. But when he asked her she asked him two simple questions, “Are you nervous?” He smiled and nervously replied “Yea” she smiled and said “How much do you like me? On a scale of 1-10?” He replied “Umm an 8?” Jokingly Amber said “just an 8?!” He quickly replied “A 10! A 10! It’s a 10!” She laughed and told him she was only kidding, and said “yes I will be your girlfriend.”

Cody and Amber got engaged while on vacation in Riveria Maya Mexico. He had a photographer on stand by while the family was walking by the ocean, Cody asked if they wanted to stop and take pictures and that's when he asked Amber to spend the rest of her life with him. She asked him 2 questions, “Are you nervous?” He laughed and said yes. While trying not to cry she said “Do you love me? On a scale of 1-10 how much? He smiled and said “Umm an 8”. Now with tears falling down her face she smiled, laughed, and said “just an 8?!” He laughed and quickly said “a 10! A 10! It’s a 10!” Now full on ugly crying she shook her head and said yes! We are so excited to spend our special day with you in The Big Easy! See you in New Orleans!
