Travel Note
For folks flying from afar, every option will start by flying into Seattle (SeaTac airport). From there you can: ~ Rent a car. Port Townsend is about a 2 hour drive from the airport. One can take the Ferry from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island, a cute 30 minute float, and then an hour and fifteen drive from there to Port Townsend. There is more info on the Bainbridge Ferry below. You can also choose to drive south, around the peninsula instead. The timing will be similar. This will be convenient going to and from the various wedding locations, some of which are around 15-20 minutes apart. We also have every confidence that carpooling can be arranged for folks with no vehicle. ~ For the most budget friendly, meandering option: Take The Lightrail directly from the airport, to the downtown Bainbridge Ferry Terminal, and walk on. From the Bainbridge Island side there are a few bus options with Kitsap county– Rome2Rio has a good route with only one transfer – reach out to us for assistance, carpooling coordination, and bus tips! ~ For those traveling from the west coast by train! The Amtrak train comes into Seattle at King Street Station, which is a brief walk to the downtown Bainbridge Ferry Terminal. ~ Ferry Note: There are other Ferry options if you want to cavort around the Puget Sound, but the downtown Seattle to Bainbridge is the most direct from SeaTac. Another option is the Edmonds to Kingston Ferry. Here is a link to the Ferry Schedules: https://wsdot.com/Ferries/Schedule/ScheduleDetailByRoute.aspx?route=sea-bi
