If you decide on staying outside the Punta Cana Resort, you will need to provide a passport or ID number in order to give you entrance access to the complex, this includes gaining access into the main hotel, The Westin, if you are not a guest.

What are the required travel documents?
There are TWO required documents for travelers outside of Dominican Republic. 1) A passport is required. If you do not have one, please plan ahead as processing times can take 8-11 weeks. Apply for a passport through this link: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/apply-in-person.html 2) An e-ticket is required to be filled out for entry AND exit of the Dominican Republic. You will be denied entry onto the plane if you do not have one. Please note this is to be done ideally 72 hours hours before your trip. You can fill it out no earlier than ONE WEEK before your departure date up until you arrive at the airport. You be given a QR code that will be scanned during boarding. *IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE E-TICKET, YOU WILL BE DENIED BOARDING* The link for the e-ticket is: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do

What is the most important information to check on my passport?
Due to the laws and regulations of the Dominican Republic, please ensure that you check your passport expiration date. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned date of departure. If your passport requires renewal, please plan ahead! Currently, passport processing times are about 8-11 weeks. The link below is for renewals.
