Ambar's family is from Dominican Republic, and most of her family still live there. She grew up vacationing in Punta Cana since before she could crawl, so it's always been her special happy place! When she finally got to bring Mac along, he fell in love with the island— the beauty, the people, everything! So when it came time to choose a wedding location, we decided it was the perfect opportunity and occasion to bring our favorite people to such a special place and to create amazing memories together!
YES! We want our guests to dress to impress! For Friday: We’d love for everyone to be wear white to the welcome party! It’s a festive evening, so keep it stylish but comfortable! Winter is a great time to visit Dominican Republic. You will see mostly hot sunny days and it can get chilly during night time. Daytime max temps averages 84°F, whilst at night 70°F is normal so don't forget to bring your swimsuit!
That's ok! The native language of the island is Spanish but many people speak English, especially in the area you'll be visiting. Brownie points if you learn a handful of important words!
We ask you to leave the little ones at home; this is an adults-only event. Thank you for understanding.
Unless specified on your formal invitation, we ask that you do not bring a guest.
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony, which means NO photos! We ask our guests to laugh, cry, and be present in the moment with us. Our hired professionals will be doing the photo-taking during that time; we'd hate it if your phones ruin the picture-perfect shot. Feel free to take all the photos you like after the ceremony is complete! Por favor, no arruinen nuestras fotos con un iPhone en primer plano. Mejor sonrían, llóren, suspíren...y dejen la magia, la capture nuestro fotógrafo oficial.
Guests who stay at the Four Points or Westin hotel have access to transportation to the events free of charge. Those who stay elsewhere will have to transport themselves to the events. Please note that Ubers are available sparingly.
I encourage everyone to bring some cash for tips for any restaurants, bars, and hotel staff you may want to tip. All major credit cards and US dollars are accepted as forms of payment, provided you do not exchange USD for RD pesos.
