Here are some things we did in our recent trip to El Salvador that we enjoyed and recommend.
Kiosko San Francisco
Carretera Panoramica, San Francisco Chinameca, La Paz, El Salvador
Pupusas with a view. We ate here on our way to Santa Ana from the airport.
Puerta del Diablo

Tourist picture area. Has ziplining and other activities.
Pupuseria la ceiba

This is where the viral rainbow slide is. We also stopped here on our way from the airport to Santa Ana.
Lago de Coatepeque
Santa Ana Department, El Salvador
A lot of airbnbs here and hotels. Around the lake and at the hotels there are rentals for jet skis, boat rides, canoes, etc. The wedding venue is also located at the lake.
Santa Ana Volcano Trailhead
Carretera al cerro verde, Lomas de San Marcelino, Santa Ana, El Salvador
Hiking site. We did not try this but wanted to add as a possible activity.
